Here's a ring I made in my class out of sterling. My first time setting a round stone in anything! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
This was created using the lost wax technique.
I first sculpted the sterling part out of wax and set the cubic zirconium stone in the wax. I attached a sprue, placed it in a small cannister and filled this with plaster. Then, presto, pour in some silver and you've got a rough ring! After some filing and sanding, I polished it and here it is! Hope you like it!
Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I'm REALLY getting into jewelry making and stuff right now, soooo... hopefully I can pursue something in that. *hug* Thanks for popping by!
CZ stands for "Cubic Zirconium", the stone that I set in it. And yes, I have pretty soft hands cuz I've never done a day's work.... Haha, just kidding! Thanks for the comment!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
